If your getting older and you dont’wat to ride an LB? sure… If you don’t think you will lose that much performance your tired of sinking way down in the water and struggling to paddle. You like to surf cruisy styly, yes. Try one out and decide for yourself but I have been surfing them constantly. Theonly time I don’t is when thesurf is really good and barreling.

Looks like a full on cold front day today, I bet there are a few moments of glory somewhere, sometime before dark but I think it’s gonna really go off around 8-10pm of course. Hope everyone finds a corner out there today
I saw a guy get a fun ride on a chest high wave at middle jetty sunset beach, classic cold front day- bring backs memories 🙂
of course i started getting sick thurs and took today off but still not well enough (says my rational mind) to paddle out. someone air drop into and bash a big steep left for me.
I got the last hour of light and wasn’t disappointed. Chest+ sets and the wind really started backing off and clocking towards the end but the light faded fast. I’m thinking thinking there’s at least a thigh-waist lb wave in the am at the low tide spot ?
Pretty damn good out there this am. Size held through the night and the super low tide made for some heavy sections and long rides on the shoal ?
This last swell was primo. Just what I needed after the last month! Finally caught some waves over waist high.

I saw the buoy was up this am too but couldn’t break free until 11 and got an hour of some fun 1-2footers on the log. Forecast looking good, more like winter but still warmer than January should be imo
Surfed most of the day yesterday. Saw that NNW Monday and capitalized!
On another note, that Friday wind looking PRI MO for certain beaches. At least euro showing light N . Let’s hope the wave train keeps coming!
Scored SJ from 930-12. Pretty fun and not too crowded, waist high with a few bigger peaks and the wind wasn’t bad ?
sunday is looking like a blowout akin to the texas dig in dec ‘18–maybe not as much size but we’ll see. i kind of have fun those days but i only end up paddling for like 5, 6 waves so as to not drown and leave relatively unsatisfied. i love big drops but the unrelenting nature of those days isn’t all that fun/worth the effort imo.

dp was fun and manageable. some steep a frames multi turn lines — even stalled into an inside barrel really startin to crank now though.
and today early afternoon was super fun. a bit mixed up but strong enough swell and clean enough to make for some nice wedgy dumpers. close to as good as it gets on the best ones. cheers.
