Sunday Surfday, will it be worth the cold?

Brian Tudor surfing the gulf, 4/8/09.

Saturday 10am: Last night it was looking like we would have surf today
. The buoy was SW at 4ft. This morning it’s 3ft from the south.
Still looking for knee to waist high cold front surf on Sunday. Next front after that is showing up on x-mas day so maybe there will be waves on the holiday. We will have to wait and see. Have a great day. We will have updates on Sunday.

A 1ft S swell will be around later today and Saturday. It does not look big enough to ride. Sunday a cold front will pass bringing thigh to possibly waist high waves in Pinellas and a more solid waist high possible plus in the afternoon down south on Sunday. The angle does not look that great for most of Pinellas as low pressure forming in the atl will tweak the fetch more northerly. It’s cold too. Hopefully the water warms at least another 4 or 5 degrees with the south winds. This am its 56 in Venice and 51 in CLW. To me the best time to surf looks late on Sunday, south of the skyway, possibly stomach high right peelers firing at the right spots. Knee high leftovers for Monday. X-mas day not looking surfy at this point for the GC. All the action looks to be from a massive low in the ATL. maybe think about driving east for holiday surf. S FL has warm water too.

Good morning admin I was just wondering if Compound is still taking over the site who will be moderating? Will this still be called Aurasurf?

I’m going to try and get wet on Sunday — don’t know if I can stand the cold – but I’m starting to get wave starved so I’m going to try–of course, looking at a Lopez surfing –it’s motivating *smile*
