Erin’s last gasp. Thursday evening at a shallow reef. The waves were really fun.

I love Dogmans, such a good wave. This swell was N 3-4ft at 14seconds with strong offshores, felt like Hawaii out there. More PR pics below the report…

Wardo toying the wave.

Chris Ward came to PR for the swell.

This was Domes yestrday. Really fun and plenty of waves to go around. Other spots on the N side were empty. Domes seems to be the wave magnet for 2ft@11seconds. That’s what we get from hurricanes that don’t line up with high pressures. Small perfect swell bc we are getting the weak side of the storms fetch… Not complaining at all but that’s normal for here. Been a long time since I scored… Tuesday NW PR, 1pm and nobody out, not a set…

A buddy snapped this vid clip from a flip phone LOL…
Wed above the fold… wave models show a knee high LB wave before dark on Friday if you can’t make it to the EC. EC should get fun tomorrow and into the weekend. The surf has been good down here… Hope you get some surf this week!!
Hurricane Erin Photos from NW PR on Monday:

Monday 8:30am WFL Update below… Need an attorney that understands you? Check in with Scott.

Monday Tropics 9am 8/18/25: Erin came a little too close for comfort. What’s disturbing is how off the models were in predicting the strength and track… They forecast Erin to pass 100’s of miles NW, farther away from the Caribbean and Turks and Caicos and now these islands are getting pounded, pretty much unprepared. PR got ripped by Erin on Sunday. The iconic pier at Crashboat fell from 8ft west wind waves(never get waves from that direction). A sub station near the metro exploded and there were power outages over there. Here in NW PR some trees are down but we still have power, only the internet is out. I’m using a back-up plan… The waves are smaller today, chest to occ head high range. Worrisome News: There is another wave- 50% expected to be close by PR this next weekend coming so a week of biting our nails and possibly I’m going to put up my storm shutters. As for WFL, your on the bench still waiting to get into the game but everything is 3hrs east. With Erin so close the best time to drive east may be the end of this week… WFL Way Out: The GFS shows a weak front behind 50% at the end of August passing WFL with 1-2ft seas. Between here and there the gulf is forecast to stay very calm. Have a good week and I hope you score if you go to the EC. I’ll let you know how it is here… If you have SL premium check out the Puntas cam in an hour 10am I’ll clean it(not doing my job LOL) and go for a surf on the inside right possibly š
Friday WFL 9am update: There is a disturbo over by the TEX/MEX border but it does not look to do much. Not much wind out in the gulf today. The next week looks pretty calm in WFL. The EC is getting set for swell from Erin. For the EC: Sunday could be fun as a little swell starts to move in and the wind is good. By Monday the real swell is filling in but winds will switch NE for a couple days. By Thursday and into NEXT weekend the winds look really good over there. Plan accordingly. Flying back to BQN tomorrow night, looks like it could be a bumpy ride with some bands from ERIN right in the landing path. Sunday the wind is SW for the Caribbean. By Monday the swell will be pumping with south winds. I’ll post pics. Lots of exciting swell on the horizon but all the action is in the ATL. I hope you get some… PR is going to have good surf. The studio is $100 a night and available if you want some hot Caribbean surf next week. Here is the link:

PR is finally supposed to get consistent surf over the next couple weeks. S winds behind Erin, then extra tropo swell later this week. jetblue.com

We are staying at the Cailda House not far from Flagler Ave on NSB, so fun here!! This was a wave out back not the inlet yesterday. Photo: Sabrina.
Family Vacay in NSB: I hadntĀ been to the EC in over ten years so on this trip back to Florida we decided to get a littleĀ family vacay in New Smyrna Beach and it was so cool! To me NSB has an old Florida vibe, it hasn’t changed that much at all. It’s like lots of little beach flats nestled in the dunes and palmettos and mangroves. There are birds and rabbits and tortoises everywhere. NSB seems built out nicely to me like they are not going to develop it too much more because its already developed and it’s nice to see all the cute beach bungalows and protectedĀ areas and know it’s not going to change too quickly… The vibe is still that of a small beach town. Hanging out at a street party on FlagerĀ Ave, I saw lots of older surfers just like me, and guys I met years ago. How it went: We would go up and surf the inlet all morning then come back to the house and chill in the a/c then go back out in the evening. Perfect spot for the family vacay! What to do: Surfing the perfect sand bar bowls a NSB inlet. Bar hopping at Flagler Ave’s fun night life. Hiking the trails thru the wetlands. Walking the beach at sunrise or sunset. Fishing in the Indian River or Atlantic Ocean. So much to do, get with Calida Properties and have a great Family Vacay!! Contact below:

Google ads are trash. Make Keplerās ad bigger! Please and ty. That is all.
hola Ray⦠i know but unfortunately they are not going anywhere unless someone wants to pay that yearly income lol ā¦i hate them too ill try and clean them up
Yoooo. All good. The 2 Google ads are showing the exact same ad. Theyāre huge. I donāt know how Google ads work. I just think for presentation purposes they should all be a similar size maybe? Hope youāre doing well. Love reading the forecasts. Thanks for doing it all these years. Was hoping for small waves today. You nailed it with the weak low prediction.
yeah Ray G****76 has bots watching me LOL they stink but they kind of call the shots… Try and ignore them thanks!! I had a chance to surf Middle Jetty last night, it was thigh plus but it was too late and I couldn’t get to the beach, bad dream, sound familiar?! š
Any news on the Sunset Cam? It was streaming on Wednesday, but from a different location. Now it shows a still.
I will ask for you…
update on sunset web cam: ok i checked with the owner of the cam and website and the pavilion where it was is currently roped off and not accessible, they have a temporary spot now close by that you see on the website⦠if any one knows anyone with a view lmk ill pass it on ā¦but for now the pavilion has to get repaired or another location approved, stay tuned
Thanks for the update. The pavilion is the perfect spot imo. It’s good to see something though.
MW, Funny you mentioned Calida, we stayed in the same unit for a baby shower a month ago. I’m sure you know who owns the unit! He was there with his brother surfin’ the inlet. Three weeks ago we moved permanently from Seminole to Edgewater to be close to our first grandchild a baby girl. Surfed Mon- Thr this week on the NE swell from TS Dexter…so fun. More coming soon!
woah thatās so sick!! congratsā¦
volusia is a great place to live!!

east coast was pretty solid yesterday but i havent surfed in a month and a half and only once a month before that so gettin right into hurricane surf was more difficult. got some good ones, will always want more. overhead glassy long lines at dawn then it faded after a cpl hours. hot as hell…
