March 2013 Surf Run for WFL.
Saturday 7am: Latest runs show a full-on front coming through Tuesday. I think the storm in the Atlantic acts like a vacuum and pulls the gulf front through for Tuesday. So that's your next chance to surf. Waist high range in the afternoon Tuesday. Have a great day, more details later.
Friday 6am 3/8/13 Weekend Outlook: After some fun waves a break in the action until Tuesday. This weekend will be pretty calm. Next week we see that same battle ground out in the middle gulf as the jet pulls back and does not let the next low bomb through. I think we could see some fun surf next week. I think the low will stall in the middle gulf maybe under the panhandle on Monday night and send a small swell for Tuesday. Right now it looks ridable on Tuesday afternoon in the 1-2ft range. This has the potential to go either way so stay tuned. EC also looks good by Tuesday next week so keep an eye on it.
If your a child of the eighties most likely by now you need an attorney. Life happens and you need someone to defend your rights. Scott Orsini is not your typical attorney. He's like you. He's got a family, he surf's, he loves Florida and he knows the laws here. So when you need someone to back you up Call Scott Orsini. He's the man to take the case. 727 323 9633.

Nice Robbed! I surfed that area Tuesday/Wednesday but I was a little further south this morning. There’s a good amount of sand bars that are worth a check in that area. Scouting always pays off instead of looking for a bunch of parked cars (like most do).
Glad you got some man
i wasnt
Lets keep It positive yall we e all had fun today. Peace
Upham and the Pass are both breaking right now … small and cold, but breaking … there’s a LB wave out there
Yesterday saw some of the best waves thus far. And, the added bonus of extreme cold kept the line up relatively uncrowded.
Agreed shark, yesterday was fun. Not the biggest waves, but shape and consistency was there. Probably my most fun session this winter
Just checked the Pass … there’s a surprisingly fun little rideable longboard wave right now. I looked down that way this morning and it was breaking … and it still is. Hard to tell if it was above thigh high, but in the half hour that I was there I swear I saw a few waist high sets. Rare when the Pass breaks.
Hey mw is aguadilla bay going to be breaking tomorrow? I’m down in rincon just wondering
I missed yesterday’s morning fun…I’m stoked for you guys. I had 7-10:30 am sesh today. It was glassy at sunset, knee to thigh high and occ. waist. I had fun with my LB. Hope some of you who paddled out today had fun too. We treasure rare waves here at the gulf especially glassy offshore conditions. Hope wed and thu will give us another round of fun. Digging our surf week. Peace everyone!
live, Quicksilver Pro Gold….

heading east this weekend for some chunk
It’s knee high out back with a TON of North in this swell … the angle is super hard. Choose your spot wisely today. I am out at Noon …. whoot
Need to waste and Crumbley in Pinellas south of the bend.
Was fun this morning. Surfed from nine to twelve. Waist plus chunk in north Pinellas.
There were a few nice-ish waves breaking at the jetty.
The Zoo was OK tonight. A few fun ones snuck in once in a while. Wasn’t even that cold.
Time change this weekend, looking forward to the evenings with more light for surfing late.
Looking at everything on the models, trying to figure out if it’ll be worth it tomorrow…anyone gonna get an early morning visual tomorrow? I’d like to get out, but moved to Ruskin last year and hate wasting the drive!
keep your expectations low but there should be some clean cold leftovers tomorrow morning. the drive from Ruskin to Bradebton is not that bad especially if you found some waste glass in Bradenton
guzzlin coffee and puttin on the suit it should be a small but good quality swell; swell is from the right direction and still around 6 ft
Let me know as soon as anybody sees it
Getting ready for a morning sesh. Yeah! Have a great day everyone. =)
Waist-chest on boca. Light N winds. Cold isn’t too bad if you don’t think about it, down here anyway. Hope most of you make it out this morning, I’m going to drift the oslabd
I was thinking the same thing at FBC but I couldn’t get on the internet this morning. sorry guys. I hope you all score some clean little lines.
WOO HOO just cleared Tuesday so I can go East and catch the clean-up, hopefully.
This last swell has me missing Upham a lot more than usual. SK is really the only game in town on such swells and Upham was the go to place for us SoPine guys. Pisses me off the more that I think about it … sitting through some of those community meetings making a case for Upham and hearing the venom spew out of the condo owners mouths. However long ago that was – I forget, but the sting comes back every time there’s waves – and we can’t really surf there any more.
Damn old snowbirds rule the WC…
I feel the pain as well Rob. Learned to surf there and Sunset. Now I just pack in with the rest of the animals at the Zoo. Fun wave, but when it’s crowded it is frustrating. Surprisingly I have been catching it not so crowded lately. Then again I have been taking days off during the week so that could explain it
.
This storm in the Atlantic is massive, lots of swell headed south for days
I used to hate SK … I really don’t mind surfing it so much anymore, but let’s face it … the drive really sucks from SoPine … especially considering that there USED to be a wave right in our back yard. I think that I am more angry now than anything else.
I get it Rob, from where you live is definitely a longer drive than me. Since I moved to mid-west Pinellas I am centrally located between Sunset and The Zoo. And the Interstate is only 5 mins up Park Blvd. so South is also an easy(ish) strike. I would much rather live on or closer to the water than I am now.
Keeping an eye on the EC clean up. Tuesday?
G- looks like it, Miami to Jacksonville has size too
17 second swell hitting obx means 18-19 seconds in the islands, all kinds of places that rarely break down there
