Monday May 25, 2026 7am WFL Wave WX Outlook:High pressure is in the ATL. Lower pressure is over the SE US. The gradient is moderate and making some elevated seas paralleling the coast. Look for some 1-2ft surf late today. There looks to be an incoming tide after 4pm if I saw it correctly. At the least there will be a log wave and at best a legit waist high wind wave at best south facer in AMI. Tomorrow looks like a repeat and Wednesday also but maybe a little smaller. By Thursday the SSE gradient is on the fade. There is low pressure forecast to be down in the Yucatan, nothing solid yet but check back Wednesday.

Details by Diaco updated 5/23 Next Chance to Get Wet: Monday 5/25 should have some log waves.

testing testing- when this pattern flips el nino it’s going to get much better for WFL waves even if it happens in summer, the GFS trying to make a low in the gulf in 7 days is an example of a pattern change.
disclaimer having passed many el ninos in wfl it is 100% certain that no el ninos are the same, they are all different

I took off for that glass off day Mar 17 and it was firing for a couple hours before the wind shifted more onshore and the swell faded. Tons of waves w barrels and fun sections. Skim was firing a couple weekends ago and beach was setup perfect. P.s. I got a new job with the city of largo and relocated closer to the beach, stoked on that.

Here are a couple reports I got: “Knee high fun rides 6:30-7:30 after front blew thru, and before wind picked up again.
Dawn patrol in morning should be good after wind switches from northwest to northeast overnite.
Great forecast. I think most of the folks there tonite read aura. lol”

“nailed the report, glad I didnt listen to Surfline, etc. Super fun first thing down south”

Crazy to put my balls on the line and say there would be waves when Surfline insisted it would be 1ft. From what I could see from Colombia it looked like fun surf at dawn that faded pretty quick. Biggest waves I saw were chest high but mostly 1-2ft. I hope everyone got wet between Saturday PM and Sunday am. Should be more opps next weekend but at best south facers esp AMI. If that flow steps up a little it could be fun.

Good call Micah. Saturday right before and right after the storm was fun for the grom in Pinellas. Sunday am was a little funky in Pinellas – main break seemed a bit troughy, but now and then a wave would connect through.
